Visible Ventures, a Boston-based early-stage venture capital firm, announced that it has promoted Yuriy Dovzhansky from principal to partner.

Dovzhansky joined Visible in 2021 as a vice president. He previously held positions at Monitor Deloitte, DNA Capital and SWAT Equity Partners.

“Yuriy is an outstanding contributor to our team and he has driven significant value across the entire scope of our firm,” Visible general partner Lori Cashman said in a statement. “He has a unique combination of curiosity, intellect and passion for early stage investing and his unwavering enthusiasm for Visible’s commitment to backing and supporting our founders has been inspiring. We are excited to see the impact that Yuriy will continue to bring to our firm in the years ahead.”

Visible targets the healthcare, wellness and software industries. The firm, formerly known as Victress Capital, closed on about $5 million for Victress Capital Opportunity Fund in March 2023, an undisclosed amount for Victress Capital Fund II, which was targeting $50 million, in October 2022, and about $22 million for Victress Capital Fund in July 2020, according to fundraising data from affiliate title Buyouts. The firm’s only known LP is the Klarman Family Foundation, which committed an undisclosed amount to Fund I, Buyouts reported.
